May It Please the Court episode 10 starts with Byung-chun getting murdered while playing Go and then the murderer taking his watch. In the basement, Byung-chun reminds the perpetrator that becoming a murderer for revenge won’t bring him any good. However, the pep talk clearly, has no effect on him, and he goes out to finish the job anyway.
Back to the end of the last episode – Si-baek turns himself in to the police for the serial murders, making Kyung-jin rush to the station for her perpetrator. Meanwhile, Gi-do has Duk-man murdered so that nothing and no one can come between him and the assemblyman’s position. As Gi-do, who is soaring high at a job well done, learns of another man who has confessed to the murder, he is left fuming in his car.

The next morning, a confused Chak-hee learns about the confession and calls Kyung-jin, who refuses to tell her who confessed. Just then, Ha-ran rolls up to her, and as they get together at the law office, she warns Chak-hee not to believe a word that Gi-do tells her because, more often than not, he is lying. Further, she asks her to think carefully about whom she wants to be used by – at least Ha-ran keeps her promises.
At the police station, Kyung-jin tries to figure out the details behind Si-baek’s confession and apparent crimes while Chak-hee calls around to figure out how Duk-man ended up dead in prison. As things get more and more confusing for the police, Si-baek refuses to tell them anything in spite of the detective threatening him with obstruction of justice.
After staying quiet for quite a while, however, Si-baek finally mentions that he wants to speak to his lawyer. When Chak-hee finally does get the call the next morning, she refuses to defend the perpetrator, but a judge’s nudging finally gets her curious as to why the perpetrator chose her, still unaware of who he is. When she finally meets Si-baek at the station, she is left confused and shocked.
She begs him to tell her what’s going on and whether he really killed Byung-chun, but Si-baek refuses to tell her anything, only apologising to her. Now crying and heartbroken, she remembers Kyung-jin’s words that Si-baek might be using her and dragging her into these lawsuits to serve his purpose.

At the Backwoods Homemade Dumplings, Chi-sik feeds Dal-jae dumplings and tells him that this is the last time he will be able to feed him since he will have to close the restaurant down. When asked why he tells him that only one more person is left and everyone else is dead. Thus, he won’t have time after this anymore. As Dal-jae continues to ask what is going on, he passes out, seemingly because the dumplings were poisoned.
Meanwhile, Kyung-jin and Jae-geun go to meet Jae-ho to tell him that they caught the person who did this to him. Jae-ho asks them whether they caught Dong-pil and they are left confused by the question. Jae-ho, however, refuses to believe them and continues to insist that Dong-pil is the real murderer. Although Jae-geun doesn’t take him seriously, Kyung-jin is left wondering whether there’s some truth to the claim.
On the other hand, Dal-jae wakes up, and Chi-sik tells him that he knows where Dong-pil is – the person who made him the way he is. As Dal-jae gets riled up, Chak-hee revisits her relationship with Si-baek and is left befuddled that someone whom she thought to be close to her could do this.

After spending a day in bed, thanks to her grief, she wakes up the next morning ready to talk to Si-baek and get to the bottom of everything. Just as she’s about to leave, Si-baek finally starts to talk about what happened, much to Chak-hee’s heartbreak. Interestingly, Si-baek mentions that he left all the evidence of Byung-chun’s torture in the basement, and the police clearly, don’t find anything because Gi-do got rid of it.
When Gi-do himself learns of the confession, he is left astonished that Si-baek could do something like this. The police, upon not finding any proof, question Si-baek again, who tells Kyung-jin that the evidence was probably removed and that they should look into that. Meanwhile, Chak-hee promises to put Si-baek on death row.
On the other hand, Chi-sik tells Dal-jae to murder Jae-ho, but tells him that the hospitalised man is actually Dong-pil. Believing him wholeheartedly, Dal-jae goes into the hospital to end what Chi-sik started, and Jae-ho is shocked to see him and calls him Dong-pil – Officer Lee Dong-pil. He slowly remembers who he was and that he was the one who tortured Chi-sik in the past.
His speciality was water torture, and he killed everyone using his own method. As Dal-jae has a nervous breakdown, Jae-ho hits him on the head and renders him unconscious but, unfortunately, comes face to face with Chi-sik.

Ok, I can’t figure out why Si-baek is trying to help Chi-sik. The brother story, for some reason, seems very unbelievable to me, so I wonder what is going on there. However, the Dong-pil twist was quite nice, although I was ready to believe that Chi-sik was actually Dong-pil. However, he got Dal-jae to carry out murders when he has difficulty eating on his own, which is anyone’s guess but regardless, I am curious to know why they were torturing Chi-sik.
With only two more episodes to go, the series has proven to be a mellow watch with some interesting bits here and there. Let’s hope they end it on a high.
