The Yang brothers used to be fake cosmetic sellers in Namdaemun but their fate took a turn and they now manage a casino which was previously managed by Chairman Do. This has made them each other’s enemy. Yang Hwa killed Woo Min-ho with his car and has asked Jo Dae-ho to get arrested instead of him. Dae-ho rebels and leaves his gang after beating the other gang members. Jae-sun is angry that he couldn’t catch Yo-han and hence, requests many inmates to meet him and testify against Yo-han but all of them refuse. However, one of the inmates sends a secret letter to Jae-sun and gives him insider tips about the prison.
Jae-sun raids the Seonju prison on the night of the gambling without any warrant and barges in. The news spreads like fire in the prison and Yo-han, Dae-mun, the warden, security manager and guards start moving things. Dae-mun and other guards guide the customers out in a safe way while Yo-han burned the gambling table, cards, tokens and every other piece of evidence. The guards didn’t let Jae-sun and his men in, which bought Yo-han more time. By the time, Jae-san reached warden’s office, everything was cleaned off and Yo-han was found asleep in his cell.

There is only one way for Jae-sun to make things go his way. A new warden is assigned to the Seongju prison who exposes the gambling den and all the illegal activities. With the gambling house gone, Yo-han is no longer the dean and has no privileges. There are no more leagues and everyone is sent back to their old cells. Yo-han also goes back to the old cell to find out the gang members whom he had tortured. Sun-oh had taught Yo-han how to fight for this moment and when the gang members attack him, their lead ends up dying.
It was Jae-sun’s plan all along to trap Yo-han in a murder case to make him serve more sentences in prison. Yo-han wants to get out and hence, asks Chairman Do for help. The chairman gives him an offer in exchange for his freedom- Yo-han has to kill someone after he gets out of the prison and now, it’s up to Yo-han if he accepts his offer or not. Yo-han needs to get out to have answers to many questions, like why does Min-ho’s private social media page have a video of Sun-oh taking off his mask, the same mask that his grandmother’s killer wore.
The chaotic energy of Jang Sun-oh is missing in this week’s episode. Without him, the series is just a bunch of men running after each either. Insider Episode 8 makes Yo-han powerless again and reveals some shocking truth but we need Sun-oh to bring back the excitement.
