Apr 2, 2023

The episode starts with a flashback of the day when Ha-jun, the brother of Tae-ra, shoots president Tae-sun. Apparently, Sun-deok trains Ha-jun as No. 150, and when Tae-ra finds out about it, she immediately saves him. However, the scene cuts when a young Ha-jun is almost run over by a car.

Now back to the present, Tae-ra hugs the adult Ha-jun and asks him to forget the day he killed President Tae-sun. However, Ha-jun says that he will get back and live a normal life with her as her brother only if she can throw her daughter Jiu and husband Jaehyun behind. Tae-ra remains quiet and Ha-jun drives away, remembering all his past.

Meanwhile, Sun-deok and Jaehyun are sitting inside a car watching the death news of Chairman Song. Sun-deok tells Jaehyun that No. 150 is very skilled, to which Jaehyun replies that at the end of the blood is thicker than water – meaning that Tae-ra and Ha-jun might join hands. Sun-deok affirms to him that she has trained him as a mother so he won’t betray them. But, when she visits Ha-jun, she realises the love he has for his sister and hits him before warning him.

Moving ahead, Haesoo believes that her father-in-law, Mr Jang, has set up a conference to bring out the truth. But in the press conference, he announces details that fall positive on Jaehyun’s side. Haesoo furiously yells at Mr Jang before leaving the office. Then, we see Haesoo’s husband (who is Mr Jang’s son), Do-jin, saying that he knows about Jaehyun blackmailing his father with the murder of Dr Kim Sohye. Then Mr Jang opens up business matters and convinces him that he did it all to save Kumjo.

Tae-ra receives information and figures out that her husband Pyo Jaehyun, is in a deal with Sun-deok. She starts to piece things together. Meanwhile, the campaign for the president starts. Later, Mr Jang finds that Kyojin, his other son, is missing, who was kidnapped by Jaehyun to conduct Hatch research on him.

Simultaneously, Haesoo gets closer to finding one of the main killers of her father, president Tae-sun, and she finds a shareholder, Jake Company. When she tells it to her husband, he is alerted since he finds a name similar to what his father gave him. He rushes to get the details behind the company before it goes to Haesoo’s hand. As he suspected, Jake’s company belongs to Jang and it’s solid evidence to prove he murdered President Tae-sun.

Pandora Beneath the Paradise Episode 8 Review

Pandora Beneath the Paradise episode 8: Tae-ra kills Sun-deok. A still from the series “Pandora Beneath the Paradise.”

A lot of events happen in this episode, and each of them has a crucial role in the plot. From Tae-ra trying to understand why her husband is behind the mess to Jae-hyun going to extreme levels to become the President, the crime thriller just keeps adding mystery to mystery while also untying the knots slowly.

Overall, the episode is jolty but still makes sense. The actors are doing a brilliant job, and the genre is satisfied with lots of mysteries that increase viewers’ curiosity.
