Pandora: Beneath the Paradise (2023) Episode 6

Pandora Beneath the Paradise episode 6 begins with investigators entering a house in the middle of nowhere while the news special is being broadcasted where Hae-soo exposes Tae-ra in front of everyone. However, she is soon countered with the news of the real assassin of the ex-president being found dead in his house.

The news shows a man found dead in his house with a suicide note left behind wherein he confesses to having assassinated the ex-president who was Hae-soo’s father. This shocks her and she faints in front of everyone while Tae-ra is unable to say anything.

Back home, Tae-ra is overwhelmed by emotions as she hugs Jae-hyun while recalling the last message left got her by Yu-ra where she reveals that it was Jae-hyun who was behind altering her identity and manipulating her this whole time. Tae-ra keeps herself calm while Jae-hyun returns back to his team.

Elsewhere, Hae-soo wakes up at home and recalls what happened when she gets a call from her office letting her know that she is being fired after what happened. Meanwhile, Geun-mo is also frustrated by what has happened while Seon-deok has decided to get rid of Hae-soo for good.

Later, Jae-hyun is getting the garden outside cleared when he is suddenly drenched and goes inside to clean up. Tae-ra sneakily follows him inside and notices scars on his back that were a result of the lightning strike that burnt Yu-ra’s body. This leaves her saddened and angered as she tries to kill him, however, Sung-chan stops her and takes her to his house.

Tae-ra gives him the research files as requested by Yu-ra while she plays the message left behind in front of him. She then asks him how he found out that Jae-hyun killed Yu-ra to which he says that he found Jae-hyun’s watch that was struck by lightning and covered in Yu-ra’s blood.

He then apologises to Tae-ra in advance because he is going to kill Jae-hyun, but Tae-ra tells him that she will help him with this. She then leaves and approaches Hae-soo whom she meets on the way. However, Hae-soo is not ready to listen to her and slaps her for not letting the truth be known to the world.

She accuses her of planting the false evidence and leaves Tae-ra behind while rushing to the news station. There, her senior tells her that her mistake has caused the station a huge loss and while she can ask her rich in-laws to cover up for her, it is not so easy for the others. Hae-soo is saddened and frustrated by this and tries to bring evidence by filming a conversation with the real Hong Tae-ra’s friend.

However, while filming this video she is unable to reach Hong Tae-ra’s friend and is once again frustrated because this time there is really no one who is ready to believe in her. Meanwhile, Do-jin receives a mail which was sent by Yu-ra to him which makes it clear that she was not someone who had the mindset of committing suicide.

Elsewhere, Jae-hyun’s campaign team tries to convince Tae-ra to make a statement about what happened with Hae-soo and press charges, however, Tae-ra refuses to do so. Left with no choice, they make a statement on her behalf while also revealing that Tae-ra will not be pressing any charges against Hae-soo because of their friendship.

This pleases Jae-hyun as he pays Jo Yoo-tae for his service in faking evidence and making someone else the assassin of the ex-president. Meanwhile, Pil-seung receives a call from Seon-deok who tells him to kill Hae-soo for good.

On the other hand, Geun-mo tries to force Hae-soo into divorcing Do-jin but fails when the latter arrives and promises to enter Kumjo if he helps Hae-soo in finding out the truth. Hae-soo later apologises to him for not being able to give him enough time which led to his affair and tells him how important it is for her to find out the truth.

Do-jin understands her position and promises to help her through this until the end; following this he asks her what made her come to the conclusion that Tae-ra is the real killer. At the hospital, Min Yeong-hwee notices her son Kyo-jin moving his finger and opening his eyes which fills her with surprise.

She soon calls Jae-hyun and informs him of this while asking for his help in bringing her son back to his original state. Later, Hae-soo receives another clue from the helmet guy who has been telling her about No. 50 while Do-jin receives the news that he has been made to leave the smart patch project.

He rushes to Hatch while Hae-soo receives a call letting her know that her friend has been kidnapped by Hanwool’s people who are going to kill him. She soon rushes to save him while Tae-ra follows behind after receiving a call from Seon-deok who tells her that Hae-soo is going to get die.

Pandora Beneath the Paradise episode 6 ends with Do-jin meeting Jae-hyun at Hatch and is told that he is being let go from the project as a result of what happened recently. Jae-hyun then returns back inside where Sung-chan is connecting Kyo-jin to the smart patch and getting everything ready.

He then tells Jae-hyun that he will be conducting this experiment alone as he wishes to reveal the results after everything because he cannot believe Do-jin or Jae-hyun after what has happened. Jae-hyun finds it suspicious while leaving but before he can return he gets a call from Seon-deok who is inside Hatch.

Meanwhile, Sung-chan succeeds in waking Kyo-jin with the help of the patch and finds out the real culprit behind Kyo-jin’s current state. On the other hand, Seon-deok once again gains an upper hand on Jae-hyun as she shows him pictures of himself in a black coat at the dock near the lake on the night of Yu-ra’s death.

Elsewhere, Tae-ra follows Hae-soo and stops a masked man who is sent to kill Hae-soo. She soon gets into a brawl with him while Hae-soo finds her friend lying on the ground dead. Tae-ra tries to rush to her but is stopped by the man whom she soon unmasks and recognises to be Pil-seung.

This surprises her, but the exchange is not over until his No. 105 mark is uncovered which reveals his identity as No. 50’s younger brother whom she thought to be dead. Overwhelmed by emotions, she is unable to continue fighting as she is thankful for her brother being alive, who moves towards her and stabs her on the shoulder.

Pandora Beneath the Paradise Episode 6 Review

Another eventful weekend comes to an end as the plot continues to go uphill while surprising us all, well not so much as Jae-hyun has been one of our suspects right from the start. However, he still doesn’t fail to surprise us with the number of secrets that he has hidden and the intricate plans that he has made.

Coming to the plot this weekend, I have to say that I’m surprised by Hae-soo’s impulsive actions in revealing all this on live television with no other evidence but a picture. Having been an anchor for so long and living in the world of high society, it seems like she has really been too sheltered to be able to do something this impulsive.

Thus, Hae-soo’s character has been a little disappointing recently, however, Tae-ra has topped her in the impulsiveness that she showed when trying to kill Jae-hyun. I mean her actions came after knowing the kind of person her husband really is.

Moving on, the plotline is something that is keeping my interest high because I am curious as to where the story will be going from here. While the two characters have been a little disappointing, I’m assuming that they are going to be showing a dangerous side from here after having learnt from what happened.

I’m also curious to know the result of the tug-o-war going on between Jae-hyun and Seon-deok, as well as the identity of the person who is leaving evidence behind for Hae-soo.
