NewJeans has just reached an exciting milestone on the Billboard 200!
Three months ago, NewJeans made history when their latest mini album “Get Up” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, making them the fastest female K-pop act ever to enter the chart.
The EP went on to become the first album by any female K-pop artist ever to chart for 14 weeks in the top 100 of the Billboard 200—and for the week ending on November 11, “Get Up” spent its 15th consecutive week on the chart at No. 119.
With this achievement, “Get Up” has become only the second K-pop girl group album in history to spend 15 weeks on the Billboard 200. To date, the only K-pop girl group album to chart longer is BLACKPINK’s 2020 album “THE ALBUM,” which recorded an impressive 26-week run three years ago.
Outside of the Billboard 200, “Get Up” stayed strong at No. 3 on Billboard’s World Albums chart, No. 20 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, and No. 28 on the Top Album Sales chart in its 15th week.
Meanwhile, NewJeans continued to chart multiple songs on both of Billboard’s global charts. On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, “Super Shy” held relatively steady at No. 56, followed by “ETA” at No. 120, “Ditto” at No. 160, and “OMG” at No. 173. Over on the Global 200, “Super Shy” ranked No. 87 for the week, while “ETA” came in at No. 195.
Congratulations to NewJeans!
