NCT’s Haechan will not be participating in NCT DREAM’s scheduled activities this weekend due to his health.
On July 22, SM Entertainment announced that Haechan would not be participating in NCT DREAM’s seventh anniversary fan meeting later that day, in addition to the July 23 broadcast of SBS’s “Inkigayo” and the fan signing event scheduled to take place afterwards.
The agency explained that Haechan had suddenly developed pain in his shoulder and back earlier that day, making it difficult for him to move. SM Entertainment also shared that even though Haechan had immediately gone to the hospital for treatment, because it was the weekend, he would have to wait until Monday for a more thorough examination and diagnosis.
SM Entertainment elaborated that due to “concerns that he might suffer a great injury if he continues with his schedule,” Haechan would be sitting out all of the group’s activities scheduled for this weekend.
The agency’s full statement is as follows:
"Hello.
We are making an announcement regarding the fact that NCT DREAM member Haechan will not be participating in the group’s fan meeting today.
Haechan suddenly experienced pain in his shoulder and back after today’s scheduled activities. He immediately went to the hospital to receive treatment, but his pain has continued, and it is currently difficult for him to move. Because it is the weekend, he is scheduled to undergo a thorough examination this coming Monday.
As there are concerns that he might suffer a greater injury if he continues with his schedule, Haechan will inevitably be unable to participate in the 2023 NCT DREAM 7th anniversary fan meeting “DREAM LAND” that will take place today (July 22).
Furthermore, because it has been determined that it would be best for Haechan to minimize movement for the sake of his physical condition, he will also not be attending SBS’s “Inkigayo” and the album fan signing event that are scheduled for July 23. We ask for fans’ generous understanding.
We apologize for giving you cause for concern with this sudden news, and after his thorough examination and diagnosis this coming week, we will try to update you quickly on the state of Haechan’s health.
Thank you."
The other six members of NCT DREAM, who just made a comeback with their new album “ISTJ” earlier this week, will still be appearing on the July 23 episode of “Inkigayo.”
Wishing Haechan a speedy and full recovery!
