MYTEEN’s agency Music Works has released a statement regarding two of the members going on Mnet’s upcoming survival show “Produce X 101.”
On March 15, MYTEEN’s Kim Kook Heon and Song Yu Vin were revealed as candidates for the center position of the show’s title track, along with 13 other fellow contestants, after being ranked in level A.

We are writing to deliver news to Youth, who love MYTEEN.
MYTEEN members Kim Kook Heon and Song Yu Vin will be appearing on “Produce X 101.”
We shared many thoughts with the members who want to show a new side of themselves through “Produce X 101,” and the result was the decision that they will be appearing on the show.
The two members plan to do their best as contestants on the show.
We apologize for not being able to tell Youth in advance.
We ask for your understanding.
We thank Youth who always love MYTEEN without holding anything back. Although it’s not an easy path, we ask you to give a lot of support to the members who have made a difficult decision after considering it for a long time.

Other debuted idols who are candidates for the center position include VICTON’s Choi Byung Chan and Han Seung Woo and UP10TION’s Kim Woo Seok (Wooshin) and Lee Jin Hyuk (Wei). The full list of contestants on the show (including those who are not in level A) has not been announced.
“Produce X 101” is hosted by Lee Dong Wook and began filming on March 4. An exact premiere date has not been announced, but the show is slated to air in the first half of the year. Ahead of its premiere, a runway show will be held on March 20 featuring the trainees.
