K-drama couples who have starred together twice

All K-drama fans seem to share a common struggle when their favorite dramas end. They are often left wanting more from the couples in the drama, especially with the excellent chemistry and acting of some of the pairings. Sometimes, fans’ dreams become a reality when actors reunite in a second drama together! 

 

 

 

IU and Kim Soo Hyun - ‘Dream High’ and ‘The Producers’ 

 

IU and Kim Soo Hyun starred together for the first time in the drama ‘Dream High,’ which was aired in 2011. They reunited again in 2015, this time as two characters with romantic interests. In fact, they were nominated for the 'Best Couple' following their appearance in ‘The Producers.’ 

 

 

Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na - ‘Goblin’ and ‘Touch Your Heart’

 

Fans first fell in love with the star-crossed lovers in ‘Goblin’ when Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na played the roles of the Grim Reaper and Sunny, respectively. Much to fans’ excitement, the two actors have come back together in ‘Touch Your Heart,’ which is currently airing. ’

 

 

Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye - ‘You’re Beautiful’ and ‘Heartstrings’

 

Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye starred in the drama ‘You’re Beautiful.’ In 2011, they were both cast for the drama ‘Heartstrings,’ a sweet melodrama about two very different musicians whose worlds collide at a performing arts college.  

 

 

Eric and Jung Yoo Mi - ‘Que Sera Sera’ and ‘Discovery of Love’

 

After their initial coupling in the drama ‘Que Sera Sera,’ Eric and Jung Yoo Mi joined together in 2014 for ‘Discovery of Love.’ Their chemistry was simply amazing, allowing them to win the 'Best Couple' at the' 2014 KBS Drama Awards.'

Lee Seung Gi and Suzy - ‘Gu Family Book’ and ‘Vagabond’

 

Many fans were disappointed with the ending of ‘Gu Family Book,’ but now they can look forward to the reunion of Lee Seung Gi and Suzy in the drama ‘Vagabond.’ Set to air in May 2019, Lee Seung Gi will take on the role of a stuntman while Suzy will portray an agent of the National Intelligence Service. 

 

 

 

Park Seo Joon and Hwang Jung Eum - ‘Kill Me Heal Me’ and ‘She Was Pretty’ 

 

Despite playing the roles of biological twins in the drama ‘Kill Me Heal Me,’ fans were able to instantly recognize the chemistry between Park Seo Joon and Hwang Jung Eum. Just a few months later, the two were cast in ‘She Was Pretty.’ 

 

 

Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum - ‘Secret Love’ and ‘Kill Me Heal Me’

 

One of the most notable K-drama couples is Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum. They displayed excellent chemistry and stellar acting in both ‘Secret Love’ and ‘Kill Me Heal Me.’ In fact, both actors won numerous awards for their spot-on acting in ‘Kill Me Heal Me.’
