Misunderstandings Arise Between WJSN’s Bona And VIXX’s Cha Hak Yeon In “Joseon Attorney”

The rift between WJSN’s Bona and VIXX’s Cha Hak Yeon (N) continues to grow on MBC’s “Joseon Attorney.”

“Joseon Attorney” stars Woo Do Hwan as Kang Han Soo, an oejibu (an attorney in the Joseon dynasty) who seeks to avenge the death of his parents through a trial. Bona stars as idealistic princess Lee Yeon Joo, who also seeks to avenge her father using the law, while Cha Hak Yeon plays her fiancé Yoo Ji Seon, the Joseon-era equivalent of their city’s mayor.

Previously on “Joseon Attorney,” Yeon Joo asked Ji Seon not to interfere in her business, causing cracks to form in the engaged couple’s relationship. In contrast to the firm, composed Yeon Joo, Ji Seon was visibly hurt and upset by her request.

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, the distance between Yeon Joo and Ji Seon widens even further. Although Yeon Joo is grateful to Ji Seon after wrapping up the Cheongsan murder case, she still feels uncomfortable and awkward around him. When asking her the reason why, Ji Seon brings up Han Soo, and Yeon Joo is shocked to learn that Ji Seon is aware of what happened during Han Soo’s childhood.

With misunderstandings piling up between the couple, the air grows icy and fraught with tension. Although Ji Seon tries to express his concern for Yeon Joo, she is characteristically direct in telling him exactly how she feels—then coldly turning her back on him.

The producers of “Joseon Attorney” commented, “[The upcoming episodes] will tell the intense story of the relationship between Yeon Joo, who is determined to walk her own path solely on behalf of the people, and Ji Seon, who feels worried, nervous, and all sorts of complicated emotions watching Yeon Joo. Please keep an eye on what kind of changes lie in store for these two people, who had no choice but to get engaged.”
