On November 25, Microdot’s agency released the short statement, “Microdot has stated that he will step down from all of his programs and halt all activities.”
Microdot’s parents are currently under investigation for fleeing the country after borrowing large sums of money from friends, neighbors, and acquaintances. An official complaint to the police had been filed in 1999, but the legal process came to a halt when authorities were unable to locate Microdot’s parents.
The rapper had initially released a statement that he would be taking legal action against false rumors about his parents, but released a second statement the following day apologizing and stating that he hadn’t been aware of the situation. Since then, the variety show “The Fishermen And The City,” a show that Microdot appeared in, canceled its recent filming schedule, and the police have requested Interpol to issue a Red Notice for Microdot’s parents.
Following Microdot’s statement that he will withdraw from his shows, “The Fishermen And The City” also released a statement that read, “Microdot has expressed his intentions to step down from all of his programs, and our production staff has accepted his decision. We are currently in talks on how to proceed from here. Thank you.”
Microdot has already filmed his appearance on JTBC’s “Come See Me” and tvN’s “Pocha Beyond Borders,” and it remains to be seen how the two shows will address his decision.
