“The Roundup: No Way Out” (also known as “The Outlaws 3”) has soared past 10 million moviegoers in just one month!
On July 1 at 8 a.m. KST, “The Roundup: No Way Out” officially surpassed 10 million moviegoers less than 32 days after its release.
“The Roundup: No Way Out” is only the 21st Korean film in history to reach the box office milestone—and “The Outlaws” is only the second Korean film franchise to have two consecutive films draw over 10 million moviegoers (after “Along with the Gods“).
Following the exciting news, star Ma Dong Seok shared a personal statement humbly expressing his gratitude for the film’s success.
Ma Dong Seok’s full message is as follows:
"Eight years ago, we sat in a small room and began planning this movie, which we weren’t even sure could realistically be made.
Although we went through lots of trial and error and faced many limits, “The Outlaws” was miraculously made and released into the world, and we encountered a second miracle when “The Roundup” [“The Outlaws 2”] drew 12.69 million moviegoers.
Then today, a third miracle came to us because of “The Roundup: No Way Out” [“The Outlaws 3”].
I would like to thank all of the production team, staff members, actors, investors, distributors, promotional team, marketing team, and everyone else who was with us for each and every moment.
And in order to give even the slightest bit of happiness and energy to everyone who is working hard in their respective places, we will work tirelessly to improve and create an even better “The Outlaws” series.
I sincerely thank all of the audience members who love our “The Outlaws” series."
Congratulations to the cast and crew of “The Roundup: No Way Out”!
