Lee Dong Wook In Talks To Star In New Drama

Lee Dong Wook may be starring in a new drama!

On June 4, industry insiders reported that Lee Dong Wook received an offer to star in the new drama “Divorce Insurance” (literal title).

In response to the reports, Lee Dong Wook’s agency KINGKONG by STARSHIP shared, “The actor is currently reviewing the offer to star in the new drama ‘Divorce Insurance.'”

The drama tells the story of a man who works at the product development team of an insurance company, devising insurance plans related to divorce. Director Lee Won Suk who received favorable reviews with the comedy film “Killing Romance” will be in charge of production.

Lee Dong Wook was reportedly offered to play the role of Noh Ki Joon, an elite insurance actuary who graduated from a prestigious overseas university but has gone through divorce three times.

While the broadcast schedule for the drama has not been decided yet, tvN remarked that they are “positively reviewing” whether to air “Divorce Insurance” next year.

Lee Dong Wook starred in various projects including the dramas “Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938” and “A Shop for Killers” as well as the film “Single in Seoul.”
