The highly-anticipated webtoon-based drama “The Moon that Rises During the Day” (literal translation) has announced its cast and premiere date!
On July 19, ENA’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “The Moon that Rises During the Day” confirmed the cast lineup including Kim Young Dae, Pyo Ye Jin, On Joo Wan, and Jung Woong In.
Based on a hit webtoon, “The Moon that Rises During the Day” tells a chilling and heartbreaking love story that spans 1,500 years. Moving back and forth between the past and present, the drama will follow a man for whom time has stopped and a woman who “flows like a river.”
Kim Young Dae will take on the dual roles of Han Jun Oh, a well-known top star in Korea, and Do Ha, an elite noble of the Silla Dynasty. After experiencing a car crash, Han Jun Oh’s body is possessed by Do Ha’s soul who has a completely different personality from Jun Oh.
Pyo Ye Jin will also play the dual roles of Kang Young Hwa, a firefighter-turned-bodyguard, and Ha Ni Ta, the sole survivor of a noble family from Daegaya (a city-state) in the Silla Dynasty. Kang Young Hwa’s life completely changes after saving top star Han Jun Oh from a car crash on the day they were filming a public service advertisement together.
On Joo Wan will portray Han Jun Oh’s older brother Han Min Oh, who is also the CEO of Jun Oh’s agency Beginning Entertainment. Min Oh dedicates his life to his younger brother Jun Oh.
Jung Woong In will play Seok Chul Hwan, the former CEO of Beginning Entertainment, who loses his company to Han Min Oh and becomes homeless. Chul Hwan holds a grudge against Min Oh and Jun Oh and fights against them.
