Upcoming sci-fi drama “Black Knight” has dropped new character stills featuring Kim Woo Bin, Song Seung Heon, Kang You Seok, and Esom!
Based on a webtoon, “Black Knight” takes place in 2071 when pollution has become so severe that people can’t survive without respirators. The series tells the story that unfolds as legendary deliveryman 5-8 (Kim Woo Bin) meets refugee Sa Wol (Kang You Seok), who dreams of becoming a deliveryman because they are the refugees’ only hope, and their struggle against Cheonmyeong Group, an organization that is eager to rule the world with their vicious cruelty. Song Seung Heon will take on the role of villain Ryu Seok, the only son of Cheonmyeong Group chairman Ryu Hae Jin, and Esom will be playing Seol Ah, a major of the military intelligence who looks after Sa Wol like family.
The newly released stills capture the daily lives of four main characters living in a world where they cannot live without wearing masks.
Kim Woo Bin transforms into deliveryman 5-8, who works for Cheonmyeong Group which tries to rule the world by supplying oxygen. During the day, he delivers oxygen and daily necessities for survival, but at night, he becomes a knight who digs into the secrets of the Cheonmyeong Group to try to change the order of the world.
Song Seung Heon will play Ryu Seok, the successor of Cheonmyeong Group, which established a new order of living in a polluted world. He is in charge of the reconstruction of Area A, which requires mobilization of a large number of refugees for migration to a new area. Viewers are curious to find out his hidden ambition and goal behind the mass migration.
Kang You Seok will portray Sa Wol, a refugee who dreams of becoming a deliveryman like 5-8. Sa Wol learns and matures as he takes on the challenge of a deliveryman selection contest.
Esom will play Seol Ah, a major in military intelligence and benefactor who took refugee Sa Wol into her family while risking her life. Seol Ah, who has strong leadership and fighting skills, becomes suspicious of Cheonmyeong as she digs into a kidnapping case that occurred in the general area.
