Jung Yong Hwa, Cha Tae Hyun, Kwak Sun Young, And Ye Ji Won Confirmed For Upcoming Investigation Drama

CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa, Cha Tae Hyun, Kwak Sun Young, and Ye Ji Won will be starring in KBS2’s upcoming drama “Brain Cooperation” (literal title) together!

“Brain Cooperation” is a brain science comedy investigation drama about two men who desperately want to kill each other as they collaborate to solve a crime case involving a rare brain disease. The drama will deliver laughter and touching messages as neuroscientist Shin Ha Ru, who possesses a very special brain, works together with detective Geum Myung Se, who has a pushover brain, showcasing explosive chemistry in the process.

Jung Yong Hwa will be playing the neuroscientist Shin Ha Ru who was born as the third generation of an affluent doctor family. Shin Ha Ru is a confident character who acts fearlessly according to his beliefs regarding difficult topics such as law, money, women, loneliness, and death. He also acts ruthlessly without any mercy to those who he consider to be scum. Last year, Jung Yong Hwa starred in KBS2’s “Sell Your Haunted House,” through which he won the Excellence Award for Actor in a Mini-Series at the 2021 KBS Drama Awards.

Cha Tae Hyun will be taking on the role of the fatally kindhearted detective Geum Myung Se who possesses an altruistic brain. Unlike his outer appearance of a corrupt detective with a macho atmosphere and rough manner of speech, Geum Myung Se is a humane and kind person. Having portrayed sincere detectives in “Police University” and “Team Bulldog: Off-duty Investigation,” Cha Tae Hyun will once again captivate viewers with his touching performance of the warmhearted Geum Myung Se.

Kwak Sun Young will be making a transformation into Seol So Jung, a Forensic Hypnosis Investigator who has a timid brain. Seol So Jung is more sensitive to stress than the average person, and her heart begins to pound crazily even when she gives instructions to her subordinates. She is a timid and accommodating person, but she experiences a situation that completely flips her personality, raising anticipation for Kwak Sun Young’s portrayal.

Ye Ji Won will be playing Geum Myung Se’s ex-wife Kim Mo Ran who has a brain with excess sexual drive. Kim Mo Ran is always changing the man she is dating and cheating with two to three other people. Even after her divorce, she brazenly asks Geum Myung Se for various favors. With her charismatic acting, Ye Ji Won will impress with her comical portrayal of the unique Kim Mo Ran.
