KBS 2TV’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday series “If You Wish Upon Me” has unveiled a new poster!
“If You Wish Upon Me” is a drama inspired by an actual organization in the Netherlands that fulfills the wishes of terminal cancer patients. A touching story will unfold as a young man who has been pushed to his limits by a life full of struggles goes to a hospice hospital and joins the hospital’s staff in fulfilling the the various last wishes of people who are at the final stretches of their lives. In addition to Ji Chang Wook, the drama also stars Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung and Sung Dong Il.
In the group poster, the seven main characters of “If You Wish Upon Me” catch the attention of the viewers by taking their own group photo themselves with the concept of taking someone else’s photo.
Kang Tae Shik (Sung Dong Il), who is about to press the camera shutter, takes center stage as the leader of Team Genie. Yoon Gyeo Re (Ji Chang Wook), Yeom Soon Ja (Yang Hee Kyung), Hwang Cha Yong (Yoo Soon Woong), and Choi Duk Ja (Gil Hae Yeon) are each holding the small strobe, light reflecting board, and lighting, fulfilling their respective roles.
Seo Yeon Joo (Sooyoung) puts one hand on Kang Tae Shik’s shoulder and the other hand up high with her palm spread out to catch attention, while Ha Joon Kyung (Won Ji An) is pressing the remote control button to take the photo, fitting in well with Team Genie.
The text on the poster that says, “To make the last moment shine,” adds a spoonful of warmth to the happy mood in the photo. It raises the anticipation of viewers to see how the members of Team Genie, who work together to make the last wishes of patients in the hospice ward come true, will deliver moments that are like gifts.
“If You Wish Upon Me” will premiere on August 10 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
