FIFTY FIFTY’s breakout hit is back on the rise in the United Kingdom!
After making history last month as the first K-pop girl group ever to break the top 10 of the United Kingdom’s Official Singles chart, FIFTY FIFTY has now added to that achievement by spending their second week in the top 10.
On June 2 local time, the United Kingdom’s Official Charts (typically regarded as the U.K. equivalent to Billboard’s U.S. charts) revealed that “Cupid” had jumped back up to No. 9 in its 10th consecutive week on the Official Singles Chart.
Not only is “Cupid” the first song by a female K-pop artist to enter the top 10, but it is also now the first song sung solely by a female K-pop act to chart for 10 weeks—extending its own record as the longest-charting non-collab K-pop girl group song.
The only other K-pop girl group song to have spent 10 weeks on the chart to date is Dua Lipa and BLACKPINK‘s collab single “Kiss and Make Up,” which enjoyed a 12-week run on the Official Singles Chart after its release in October 2018.
Congratulations to FIFTY FIFTY!
