EXO has announced their highly-anticipated July comeback date!
On June 9, SM Entertainment confirmed, “EXO’s seventh full-length album will be released on July 10. As it is an album everyone has put their all into, promotions related to the album will proceed as planned. We will release more details soon.”
EXO’s upcoming full-length album marks the group’s first comeback in about two years since their special album “DON’T FIGHT THE FEELING” in 2021. The upcoming album is also expected to include Kai’s voice as SM Entertainment previously confirmed that Kai was in the middle of preparing for EXO’s comeback just before his sudden military enlistment.
Recently, Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen shared a statement with notification of contract termination with SM. In response, SM released a statement suspecting a third party to be behind their contract termination and released a second detailed statement refuting the members’ basis for contract termination.
Setting the legal dispute aside, SM Entertainment and members Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen are working together to prepare for EXO’s comeback. The three artists released an additional statement reassuring their fans, writing, “We would never betray [the EXO] members and will prioritize EXO in any situation.”
As previously stated by SM on June 1, all seven members will participate in music video filming for the comeback as well as promotional activities for the album. On June 8, Xiumin, Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., and Sehun were spotted at Gimpo Airport together on their way to film a group reality show.
