DAY6’s Young K is returning to his role as the DJ of KBS CoolFM’s “Kiss the Radio”!
On June 5, KBS officially announced, “DAY6’s Young K will be the DJ of ‘Kiss the Radio’ starting from Monday, June 19.”
A source from KBS added, “As a legendary DJ of ‘Kiss the Radio,’ Young K has shown stable hosting skills. He is also a musician that is well recognized through his diverse works in music. Likewise, with his solid hosting skills and wittiness, we’re confident that Young K will be able to show his unique charm by comfortably communicating with not only senior and junior musicians but also all the listeners.”
In October 2021, Young K ended his run as the DJ of “DAY6’s Kiss the Radio” due to his military enlistment. After becoming the first K-pop idol to serve in KATUSA (The Korean Augmentation Troops to the United States Army), Young K finally completed his military service this past April.
Young K first became the DJ of “DAY6’s Kiss the Radio” in November 2020 and received much love for his excellent hosting skills, with the program even ranking No. 1 in radio ratings among teens.
“Kiss the Radio” is a KBS CoolFM radio show that first premiered in April 2004. It airs every night at 10 p.m. KST.
