Chae Jong Hyeop And Kim So Hyun's New Romance Drama Confirms Broadcast Plans

tvN’s upcoming drama “Is It a Coincidence” (literal translation) starring Chae Jong Hyeop and Kim So Hyun has shared its broadcast plans!

On June 12, a source from tvN shared, “The drama ‘Is It a Coincidence’ starring Chae Jong Hyeop and Kim So Hyun will be broadcast as the follow-up to the currently on-air [drama] ‘The Player 2: Master of Swindlers.’ It is scheduled to premiere in July, but the specific date has not been confirmed yet.”

Based on a popular webtoon, “Is It a Coincidence” will tell the story of young people finding true love and their dreams after accidentally running into their first love from 10 years ago.

Kim So Hyun will take on the role of Lee Hong Joo, an animation producer who is afraid of love due to painful memories from her previous relationship.

Chae Jong Hyeop will play Kang Hoo Young, a handsome and intelligent financial planner living in the United States who never needed to work hard to achieve great results. Bored with his dull and meaningless life, Kang Hoo Young finds his heart fluttering again when he returns to Korea for the first time in a long while and unexpectedly reunites with his first love from high school Lee Hong Joo after 10 years.
