Billboard has published its World Albums chart for the week ending on April 8!
BTS’s Jimin’s solo debut album “FACE” entered the chart at No. 1 this week, in addition to topping both Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart and Top Current Album Sales chart. “FACE” also debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, making Jimin the highest-ranking Korean soloist in the history of the chart.
TWICE’s latest mini album “READY TO BE” stayed strong at No. 2 in its third consecutive week on the World Albums chart, in addition to spending its third week in the top 30 of the Billboard 200.
TXT’s “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” took No. 3 in its ninth consecutive week on the World Albums chart, and it also held steady in the top 75 of the Billboard 200—making TXT only the second K-pop artist in history to have three different albums spend nine weeks each on the chart.
NMIXX’s first EP “expérgo” debuted at No. 5 on the World Albums chart this week, in addition to becoming the rookie girl group’s first album ever to enter the Billboard 200.
BTS’s anthology album “Proof” ranked No. 6 in its 42nd week on the World Albums chart, while their 2020 album “Map of the Soul: 7” stayed strong at No. 11 in its 132nd week. RM‘s solo album “Indigo” also held onto its spot at No. 13 in its 17th week on the chart.
Meanwhile, Stray Kids’ “MAXIDENT” came in at No. 7 in its 22nd non-consecutive week on the World Albums chart.
Finally, NCT 127’s repackaged album “Ay-Yo” ranked No. 10 in its fourth consecutive week on the chart, and NewJeans’ debut EP “New Jeans” rounded out the top 15 in its 25th week.
