Bae Doona, Ryu Seung Bum, Lomon, And More Impress At Script Reading For Upcoming Thriller Drama

Coupang Play’s upcoming drama “Family Plan” (literal translation) has shared a photo from its script reading!

“Family Plan” is a drama about people with special abilities who disguise themselves as a family in order to survive as they face off against the evil criminals threatening them in extraordinary ways.

Twin directors Kim Gok and Kim Sun, as well as scriptwriter Kim Jung Min, were present at the reading along with actors Bae Doona, Ryu Seung Bum, Baek Yoon Shik, Lomon, and Lee Su Hyun. As soon as the script reading began, the actors quickly immersed themselves in their respective characters and showcased brilliant chemistry right from their first meeting.

Bae Doona will star in the drama as Han Young Soo, a mother with a special ability who is affectionate toward her children. The actress commented, “I’ve been waiting for a very long time because the script was so much fun. I was excited and nervous even before the script reading because I get to work with actors I admire and respect so much.”

Ryu Seung Bum will star as Baek Chul Hee, a man who appears somewhat timid due to having to hide his abilities, but is a loving husband to his wife. “I’m determined to do my best to ensure the success of this project,” said the actor.

Baek Yoon Shik will play Baek Kang Sung, a grandfather who is prickly on the outside but cherishes his family on the inside. He remarked, “I felt a lot of things during the script reading. Please show a lot of interest [in our drama].”

Lomon, who will play the warm and gentle son Baek Ji Hoon, commented, “It was an honor just to be in the same room with such talented senior actors.”

Meanwhile, Lee Su Hyun, who will play the prickly and sensitive daughter Baek Ji Woo, shared, “I was half excited and half nervous. It was a great honor to have the opportunity to participate in the script reading with such incredible senior actors.”
