K-pop is about to take over the Grammy Museum!
According to an exclusive report by Billboard, ATEEZ and xikers will be kicking off a new series of K-pop exhibitions at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.
Starting next month, the two groups will be spotlighted in an exhibit called “KQ ENT. (ATEEZ & xikers): A Grammy Museum Pop-Up,” which will mark the Grammy Museum’s first-ever pop-up exhibition about K-pop.
The exhibition is said to be “an immersive experience for fans featuring outfits and props” from both groups’ careers. Among other “mementos from different KQ projects,” fans will be able to see props and outfits from the music videos for ATEEZ’s “Crazy Form” and xikers’ “We Don’t Stop” up close in person. The exhibition will also include Junghoon’s outfit from xikers’ performance video for their debut track “TRICKY HOUSE.”
Starting with this exhibition, the Grammy Museum is launching a new series of exhibitions about K-pop that will run over the next two years.
Grammy Museum president and CEO Michael Sticka remarked, “Korean pop music is one of the greatest phenomena in the history of recorded music and culture. The Grammy Museum plans to celebrate the world of K-pop, its much-deserved success, and worldwide chart-breaking artists by curating dedicated exhibits and programming over the next two years. We look forward to launching this series with exclusive outfits and props from xikers and ATEEZ.”
The ATEEZ members commented, “It’s an honor to have pieces from our latest music release displayed at the Grammy Museum, where so many wonderful artists have left a piece of their musical history. There are so many elements involved in the process of our music creation and we’re excited to share some of it through our music video outfits and props.”
Meanwhile, the xikers members chimed in, “We’re so grateful for the opportunity to have our pieces displayed alongside [those of] our labelmate and seniors ATEEZ, as well as so many amazing artists that we’ve grown up listening to.”
“KQ ENT. (ATEEZ & xikers): A Grammy Museum Pop-Up” will run from April 10 to June 10, opening just ahead of ATEEZ’s debut at Coachella 2024—where they will become the first male K-pop group ever to perform at the famous U.S. festival.
