Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!
In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Circle Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold a million copies or more receive a “million” certification.
This month, ZEROBASEONE earned an official million certification for their latest mini album “CINEMA PARADISE,” which has sold over a million copies since its release this past August.
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM’s latest mini album “CRAZY” was certified triple platinum for over 750,000 copies sold.
BABYMONSTER earned two separate Circle certifications for their first mini album “BABYMONS7ER”: the regular version of the mini album received a platinum certification for over 250,000 copies sold, while the Nemo version was certified double platinum for selling over 500,000 copies.
NMIXX’s latest mini album “Fe3O4: STICK OUT” and the Weverse version of SEVENTEEN’s 2023 mini album “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN” were also certified double platinum for selling over 500,000 copies each.
EXO’s Chanyeol’s solo debut mini album “Black Out,” NCT’s Jaehyun’s solo debut album “J,” Stray Kids’ 2018 EP “MIXTAPE,” and the Weverse version of NewJeans’ “How Sweet” were all certified platinum for selling over 250,000 copies each.
Finally, in the streaming category, aespa’s 2023 hit “Spicy,” Joosiq’s 2021 track “Think About You,” and DAY6’s 2019 song “Time of Our Life” were all certified platinum after surpassing 100 million streams each.
Congratulations to all of the artists!
