Yoon Ji Oh Announces Plans To Take Legal Action Against Malicious Commenters
Mar 25, 2019
Yoon Ji Oh will be taking strong legal action against malicious commenters.
Yoon Ji Oh was Jang Ja Yeon’s former colleague who witnessed Jang Ja Yeon being sexually assaulted and saw her preparing documents before her death. Jang Ja Yeon died by suicide back in March 2009, leaving behind a final letter revealing that she had been forced to sexually entertain powerful figures in the business and media sectors.
On March 24, Yoon Ji Oh uploaded screenshots of malicious comments to her Instagram and stated that she will take legal action against those who posted the comments. One of the commenters stated that Yoon Ji Oh did not seem to be speaking up for the sake of Jang Ja Yeon, suggesting that Yoon Ji Oh had other motives in mind.
The next day, she uploaded a screenshot of a direct message from the commenter apologizing for posting the comment.
Yoon Ji Oh responded through the caption on the post, “I will forgive you, but you will have to take responsibility for the things you said carelessly. You may know my face and my name, but it’s not right for you to talk as if you know my whole life.”
She added, “I will persistently survive and make people take legal responsibility for the unjust and offensive things that happen to me both online and offline. You should not say or do things that you cannot take responsibility for.”
