As it turns out, “All of Us Are Dead” star Yoon Chan Young’s first kiss was captured on screen!
On the March 12 episode of JTBC’s “Knowing Bros” (also known as “Ask Us Anything”), Yoon Chan Young appeared as a guest alongside several of his co-stars from the hit zombie series “All of Us Are Dead.”
At one point during the show, Kang Ho Dong asked Yoon Chan Young if he had any fun anecdotes from filming his dramatic kiss scene with Park Ji Hu towards the end of the drama.
The actor responded by confessing, “To be honest, that was the first kiss of my whole life.”
When the “Knowing Bros” cast jokingly responded with disbelief, Yoon Chan Young—who got his start in the industry as a child actor—continued, “No, it really was. I started acting when I was a kid, and over the years, as I kept acting, I started worrying, ‘If I keep this up, I might really end up having my first kiss in one of my acting projects.’ I’d thought that for several years, but that day, [it ended up happening].”
Yoon Chan Young went on to share, “I really didn’t know what to do, so the night before we filmed that scene, I called Ji Hu on the phone and asked her, ‘What should we do tomorrow?'” He explained that because Park Ji Hu had already filmed a kiss scene in another movie, she had been far less nervous about the scene than he was.
He also cracked up his co-stars by recalling that due to his lack of experience, he hadn’t known to tilt his head when going in for the kiss—leading to a collision between his and Park Ji Hu’s noses during the first take.
