MBC’s upcoming drama “When the Phone Rings” has shared new stills featuring Yoo Yeon Seok, Im Chul Soo, Choi Woo Jin, and Ko Sang Ho!
Based on a web novel, “When the Phone Rings” depicts the romance of Baek Sa Eon (Yoo Yeon Seok) and Hong Hee Joo (Chae Soo Bin), a couple who married for convenience as they receive a threatening phone call.
The released stills capture Baek Sa Eon and his dependable allies Kang Young Woo (Im Chul Soo), Park Do Jae (Choi Woo Jin), and Jang Hyuk Jin (Ko Sang Ho).
Yoo Yeon Seok stars as Baek Sa Eon, the youngest spokesperson for the Blue House who has it all: family background, good looks, and talent. Baek Sa Eon’s impressive resume includes experience as a hostage negotiator and a lead anchor for a public broadcasting station. Known for his strict self-discipline, he maintains a spotless public image. With his sharp speaking skills, Baek Sa Eon is a rising political figure who shapes public opinion and earns strong trust and support.
Im Chul Soo plays Kang Young Woo, a section chief at the Blue House. Known for his deep family values, Young Woo becomes a mentor to Sa Eon in navigating married life, offering one-on-one coaching and sharing tips on being a good husband, especially as Sa Eon’s relationship with Hong Hee Joo begins to change.
Choi Woo Jin takes on the role of Park Do Jae, an administrative officer at the Blue House who closely assists Sa Eon. Do Jae respects and follows Sa Eon more than anyone else, flawlessly completing any task he’s given. He is nicknamed “Little Baek Sa Eon” because he follows Sa Eon like his shadow.
Ko Sang Ho plays Jang Hyuk Jin, a Blue House press corps reporter who often asks hard questions that catch spokespersons off guard. Although he and Sa Eon seem like rivals, they are actually close friends, with Hyuk Jin being the one person Sa Eon sometimes confides in.
Yoo Yeon Seok, Im Chul Soo, Choi Woo Jin, and Ko Sang Ho are set to deliver powerful performances as they portray the events happening at the Blue House, which never lacks drama.
“When the Phone Rings” is set to air on November 22 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
