Yoo Yeon Seok may be starring in a new JTBC drama!
On March 22, Sports Chosun reported that Yoo Yeon Seok will be starring as the lead of JTBC’s new drama “Understanding of Love” (literal title).
In response to the report, a representative of Yoo Yeon Seok’s agency King Kong by Starship shared, “Yoo Yeon Seok has received an offer to star in JTBC’s new drama ‘Understanding of Love,’ and he is reviewing the offer.”
Based on a novel of the same name by Lee Hyuk Jin, “Understanding of Love” takes place at Nara Bank’s Yeongpo branch, which is celebrating the 99th anniversary of its foundation. The story focuses on the scandalous office romance between the characters Ha Sang Soo, Ahn Soo Young, Park Mi Kyung, and Jung Jong Hyun.
Yoo Yeon Seok is in talks to play Ha Sang Soo, the senior head of the comprehensive consultation team at Nara Bank’s Yeongpo branch. Ha Sang Soo has had this position for three years already, and he is a handsome, intelligent, and sturdy person who will not waver in the face of life’s difficulties. Although he is an upright character, Ha Sang Soo is not cold or too formal but rather warmhearted with a humorous side. Not to mention, he has an athletic form fit for a national athlete rather than a bank employee. He entered his job as the top employee from Nara Bank’s training center, so he is very popular but also the source of envy for many others.
Last year, Yoo Yeon Seok captivated the hearts of viewers with his affectionate role as Ahn Jung Won in tvN’s “Hospital Playlist 2.” He is currently starring in the musical “Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” and is also gearing up for the premiere of his upcoming film “Vanishing.” Earlier this year, it was reported that Yoo Yeon Seok is in talks to star in tvN’s upcoming drama “MonWedFriTuesThursSat” (literal title) with Park Min Young.
