Very soon, we will find out who the final seven members are of YG Entertainment’s newest boy group!
January 18’s finale of “YG Treasure Box” will feature performances from the final 13 contestants in their last, nerve-wracking chance to join the rank of seven that will make up YG’s first boy group since the debut of iKON in 2015.
Previously, contestants Kim Doyoung, Kim Junkyu, Mashiho, Park Jeongwoo, Park Jihoon, Bang Yedam, So Junghwan, Lee Byunggon, Choi Hyunseok, Haruto, and Ha Yoonbin were selected as the first 11 of the final 13, with two additional trainees to join them.
One of the additional two was revealed as Kim Seunghun. The 13th finalist has yet to be announced.
We can expect to see incredible performances from the contestants, including a performance of the show’s main song “Going Crazy,” one version by the final 13 and one version with all 28.
The final test will be a position evaluation. The remaining contestants will choose either the rap, dance, or vocal category before they begin preparing their performances.
Points will be awarded out of a total of 1000, with the producers accounting for 50 percent of the final score, online voting 20 percent, and studio audience voting 30 percent. With online voting prior to the finale only accounting for a small portion of the final total, viewers will have to remain on the edges of their seats, as no one is immune from elimination tonight.
The finale of “YG Treasure Box” will first air through V Live on January 18 at 10 p.m. KST and will be shown on JTBC2 and YouTube at midnight.
