Yeonwoo and Kim Jae Won have been confirmed to join Lim Ji Yeon and Choo Young Woo in JTBC’s new drama “Tale of Mrs. Ok” (literal title)!
“Tale of Mrs. Ok” is a drama that tells the fierce survival and success stories of a female slave, Ok Tae Young (Lim Ji Yeon), in the Joseon Dynasty who fakes her name, status, and even her husband. The drama also follows Cheon Seung Hwi (Choo Young Woo), who risks his life to protect her.
Yeonwoo will star as Cha Mi Ryeong, an eager apprentice learning from Ok Tae Young. Cha Mi Ryeong is characterized by her kindness and boldness, particularly in helping those in need, but she harbors a secret she cannot reveal to anyone. Currently impressing audiences through her villain role in MBC’s “Bitter Sweet Hell,” Yeonwoo brings added depth to Cha Mi Ryeong’s complex personality.
Kim Jae Won will play as Sung Do Kyeom, a beloved figure in the village. Sung Do Kyeom holds great respect for his sister-in-law Ok Tae Young who has been a pillar of support since his childhood. Kim Jae Won, known for his recent impactful role in the Netflix original “Hierarchy,” is expected to add depth to Sung Do Kyeom’s character.
