SSQ Entertainment (formerly known as NV Entertainment) has issued a warning against malicious posts about its artists.
On March 9, SSQ Entertainment—which is home to the idol groups woo!ah! and DXMON—released a statement warning that it would take legal action against the violation of its artists’ rights, including defamation of character.
The agency’s full statement is as follows:
"This is SSQ Entertainment.
First, we sincerely thank the fans who give their love to our artists.
Through reports sent in by fans and our own monitoring, we have confirmed and gathered evidence of infringement on our artists’ rights.
Additionally, we took disciplinary measures against those who have recently written posts that negatively influence our artists on online communities and communication platforms.
SSQ Entertainment will regularly monitor [these spaces] in order to protect our artists’ honor and character, and we will take legal action against future instances of damage being inflicted [on our artists]. We will respond with strong action and a zero-tolerance policy, without any settlements or leniency.
Once again, we thank the fans for giving their love, interest, and support to SSQ Entertainment’s artists. If a case where we wind up taking concrete action as part of our protection of our artists’ rights should arise, we will inform the fans as well."
