WJSN’s Bona is a woman of many disguises in the upcoming MBC drama “Joseon Attorney” (literal translation)!
“Joseon Attorney” is a new drama starring Woo Do Hwan as Kang Han Soo, an oejibu (an attorney in the Joseon dynasty) who seeks to avenge the death of his parents through a trial. In his journey towards righteous revenge, Kang Han Soo grows as a human being and becomes a true attorney who protects and stands for the people.
In what marks her reunion with “Joseon Attorney” director Kim Seung Ho, who worked with her on the hit drama “Twenty Five, Twenty One,” Bona will star as idealistic princess Lee Yeon Joo, who also seeks to avenge her father using the law and who approaches Kang Han Soo in her quest for vengeance.
As the daughter of the late king, Lee Yeon Joo embarks on a carefully plotted scheme for revenge by pretending to be the servant of her trusty nurse Lady Hong (played by Shin Dong Mi). In the process, she winds up disguising herself as a man not once but multiple times: newly released stills from the drama show Lee Yeon Joo dressed as both a scholar and a male servant.
The producers of “Joseon Attorney” teased, “In ‘Joseon Attorney,’ actress Kim Ji Yeon [Bona’s given name] will show a side of herself that is the polar opposite of what she showed in her previous drama ‘Twenty Five, Twenty One.’ Please look forward to Kim Ji Yeon, who will captivate viewers with her ever-changing acting transformations.”
“Joseon Attorney” premieres on March 31 at 9:50 p.m. KST and will be available on Dramacool.
