Winners Of The 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards

Last night, the 44th annual Blue Dragon Film Awards took place at the KBS Hall in Yeouido!

On November 24, the star-studded award ceremony honored some of this year’s greatest achievements in film, with Kim Hye Soo and Yoo Yeon Seok returning as hosts.

“Smugglers” emerged the big winner of the night, snagging a total of four awards including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Jo In Sung), Best New Actress (Go Min Si), and Best Music.

Meanwhile, “The Night Owl” won three awards, including Best New Director (Ahn Tae Jin), Best Editing, and Best Cinematography and Lighting.

“Concrete Utopia” also claimed two of the night’s biggest awards: Best Director (Um Tae Hwa) and Best Actor (Lee Byung Hun).

Jung Yu Mi took home Best Actress for her starring turn in “Sleep,” while Jeon Yeo Been won Best Supporting Actress for her performance in “Cobweb.”

Best Art Direction: Jeong Yi Jin (“Cobweb”)

Best Music: Jang Ki Ha (“Smugglers”)

Best Technical Achievement: Jin Jong Hyun (“The Moon”)

Popular Star Awards: Jo In Sung, Song Joong Ki, Park Bo Young, Kim Seon Ho

Audience Choice Award for Most Popular Film: “The Roundup: No Way Out”

Best Editing: Kim Sun Min (“The Night Owl”)

Best Cinematography and Lighting: Kim Tae Kyung, Hong Seung Chul (“The Night Owl”)

Best Short Film: Yoo Jae In (“Ghwa the Last Name”)
