Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won are about to get a whole lot closer on tvN’s “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon”!
Helmed by director Ahn Pan Seok of the hit drama “Something in the Rain,” “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” is a new romance set against the backdrop of Daechi, a neighborhood known as the epicenter of private education in Korea due to its high concentration of hagwons (private educational institutions).
On the previous episode of the drama, Lee Joon Ho (Wi Ha Joon) was asked to become the new face of the hagwon by starring in their advertisements, but he responded by suggesting that he and Seo Hye Jin (played by Jung Ryeo Won) star together and sell their teacher-student story.
In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, Lee Joon Ho passionately attempts to convince Seo Hye Jin to agree to his idea. However, Seo Hye Jin is unmoved as she looks back at him with an unimpressed expression, and Lee Joon Ho appears to be caught off guard by her lack of response.
In another set of photos, the former pupil and teacher meet up for a secret lesson after hours, with Seo Hye Jin standing at the podium and facing a seated Lee Joon Ho for the first time in many years.
Things then take an unexpected turn, and the two instructors wind up hiding together in the empty classroom with the lights off. Seo Hye Jin looks startled by their sudden proximity as she gazes up at Lee Joon Ho, who is physically closer to her than he has ever been before.
The drama’s production team teased, “Seo Hye Jin and Lee Joon Ho will face a new chapter in their relationship as fellow instructors and colleagues. Please keep an eye on how the two of them change as they slowly begin to experience unfamiliar emotions.”
To find out why Seo Hye Jin and Lee Joon Ho need to hide, catch the next episode of “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” on May 18 at 9:20 p.m. KST!
