Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won are about to get even closer in “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon”!
Helmed by director Ahn Pan Seok of the hit drama “Something in the Rain,” tvN’s “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” is a new romance set against the backdrop of Daechi, a neighborhood known as the epicenter of private education in Korea due to its high concentration of hagwons (private educational institutions).
On the previous episode of the drama, Lee Joon Ho (Wi Ha Joon) and Seo Hye Jin (Jung Ryeo Won) were in for a major shock. Despite all their hard work preparing their special preview lecture, their plans were thwarted by Choi Hyung Sun (Seo Jeong Yeon), and only one student ultimately showed up. However, the two instructors didn’t give up, and Seo Hye Jin’s passionate one-on-one teaching ultimately won over their lone student, who turned out to be the top student at his school.
In newly released stills from the next episode, Seo Hye Jin and Lee Joon Ho wind up dealing with another crisis. Notably, the two teachers have very different reactions after coming face-to-face with harsh reality: Lee Joon Ho looks the most dispirited he’s been since joining Daechi Chase, while Seo Hye Jin appears calm and composed, as if this isn’t the first time she’s been in such a situation.
As they sit across from one another, Lee Joon Ho seems to be desperately trying to persuade Seo Hye Jin of something, piquing curiosity as to what sort of crisis the duo might be facing.
A final photo shows Lee Joon Ho and Seo Hye Jin leaving work together in a car, hinting at new changes in their relationship as the two teachers grow closer.
The drama’s production team teased, “Seo Hye Jin and Lee Joon Ho will find themselves facing a new dilemma to solve. As they overcome this crisis, their romantic connection will also grow deeper, so please look forward to it.”
To find out what sort of dilemma lies in store for the couple, tune in to the fifth episode of “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” on May 25 at 9:20 p.m. KST!
