The battle for weekend drama ratings remains as fierce as ever!
On June 25, SBS’s “Why Her?” continued its reign as not only the most-watched miniseries of Saturday, but the highest-rated miniseries of the entire week. According to Nielsen Korea, the popular mystery romance drama wrapped up the first half of its run by rising to an average nationwide rating of 9.2 percent for its latest episode.
“Why Her?” also remained the most-watched drama of Saturday among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored an average rating of 2.8 percent.
Meanwhile, tvN’s new fantasy romance drama “Alchemy of Souls” saw a slight dip in viewership for its third episode, which earned an average nationwide rating of 5.3 percent. However, despite the minor decrease, the drama successfully remained first place in its time slot across all cable channels.
TV Chosun’s new drama “Becoming Witch” (also known as “The Witch Is Alive”) premiered to an average nationwide rating of 3.4 percent, while JTBC’s “Cleaning Up” dipped to a nationwide average of 2.0 percent for the night.
MBC’s “Doctor Lawyer,” which airs in the same time slot as “Why Her?”, fell to an average nationwide rating of 5.4 percent for its latest episode.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “It’s Beautiful Now” continued its perfect streak as the most-watched program to air on any channel on Saturday with an average nationwide rating of 21.7 percent.
