Watch: WJSN’s Bona Leads A School Rebellion Against The Violent “Pyramid Game” In Thrilling Trailer

TVING has unveiled the main trailer for its upcoming drama “Pyramid Game”!

Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Pyramid Game” is a thriller set in an all-girls high school. Every month, the students in one specific class—Class 2-5—grade each other through a popularity vote, and if they receive an F grade, they are officially appointed the target of school violence. WJSN’s Bona will star as Sung Su Ji, a second-year student who becomes the target of the pyramid game as soon as she transfers to Baekyeon Girls’ High School. In order to break the twisted cycle of the pyramid system, Sung Su Ji pushes herself to become the leader of a rebellion.

The newly released trailer begins by explaining the rules of the pyramid game, in which students are graded from A through D depending on how many votes they receive. These grades then become a sort of temporary caste system within the class. The F grade is for those who receive zero votes—like Sung Su Ji—and are subsequently stripped of their basic human rights.

Loner Myung Ja Eun (played by Ryu Da In), who refuses to participate in the game, asks Sung Su Ji in surprise, “You’re F, too?” Sung Su Ji then recruits Myung Ja Eun to her cause by proposing, “Let’s get rid of the pyramid game. This game’s system is flawed. The pressure, anxiety, and fear of being betrayed will work, 100 percent.”

When a victim of brutal school violence protests, “What have I done wrong [to deserve this]?!”, she is met with the cold reply, “If you don’t like it, get a higher rank!” Meanwhile, Sung Su Ji declares, “I’m going to disrupt the order.”

Popular student Baek Ha Rin (Jang Da Ah) tells Sung Su Ji in a chillingly reassuring tone, “Su Ji, endure it just a little longer. It’s not your fault.” In another scene, she extends a hand and offers to help her up while asking, “Are you okay?”

Sung Su Ji then asks Baek Ha Rin, “Why play this kind of game at all? I thought it was strange from the beginning… don’t you have more to lose than to gain?” But as the game continues and things take an even more violent turn, Baek Ha Rin tells Sung Su Ji, “It’s not me who’s judging you. It’s the game.” Sung Su Ji responds, “Then I’ll just smash the pyramid.”

“Pyramid Game” will premiere on February 29. In the meantime, check out the full trailer below!
