Watch: NCT And Oh My Girl Train New “Weekly Idol” MCs To Be Idols

Jan 9, 2019

NCT and Oh My Girl helped welcome the new MCs of MBC every1’s “Weekly Idol”!
On January 9, “Weekly Idol” aired its first episode featuring its new MCs Jo Se Ho, ZE:A’s Kwanghee, and Nam Chang Hee. Jo Se Ho said to viewers, “I’m a bit worried, but I’ll work hard if you cheer us on.” Nam Chang Hee said, “I know about your worries and concerns, but I’ll show you a good appearance.”
NCT’s Doyoung, Taeyong, and Jungwoo and Oh My Girl’s Seunghee, Hyojung, and Arin took turns appearing as guests on the variety show.
Combining their names together, the three MCs formed a unit literally translated as “handsome men,” and the NCT members gave them tips on a good greeting to use.
NCT showed them how it’s done by performing “Regular” at double speed, and also taught the three MCs about the importance of the idol ending pose.
The hosts then gave the double speed dance game a chance themselves as they took on ZE:A’s “Maseltov.”
When Jo Se Ho revealed, “To be honest, many people were worried,” NCT reassured them by saying, “I don’t think you need to be worried.”
The three new MCs then continued to experience the day in the life of an idol. They learned about cuteness and concepts from Oh My Girl. Hyojung’s song “Be Mine” (literal title) had become the trademark cuteness song on “Weekly Idol.” During this episode, she revealed the second cuteness song that she composed called the “Yum Yum Song” (literal title).
Oh My Girl then shared tips on how to pull off any concept using different facial expressions and showed examples for dreamlike, cute, and sexy concepts.
“Weekly Idol” airs on Wednesdays at 5 p.m. KST.
