Watch: Mnet Announces Boy Group Audition Program "PLANET B"

Mnet will be launching a new boy group!

On July 29, CJ ENM shared, “In 2025, Mnet will be launching the project ‘Planet B’ to create a new boy group that will take over the global music market by storm.”

“Planet B” is a prequel project to a debut survival program to launch a new global boy group. The show will follow the journey of discovering numerous hidden artists from around the world regardless of nationality.

The contestants who are selected through the project will also earn the opportunity to star on Mnet’s large-scale boy group survival program slated to take place in 2025.

The production team shared, “We plan to turn the audition participant recruitment process, which is normally carried out in private until the broadcast, into a prequel program. Through this project, the next generation of K-pop hopefuls can showcase their potential to their hearts’ content before the official debut survival show. We will greet viewers with a fresh idea and challenge by delivering immersive entertainment through which viewers can also help discover hidden talents.”
