The latest teaser for “Welcome to Wedding Hell” has previewed Lee Jin Wook and Lee Yeon Hee’s surprisingly different takes on marriage!
Kakao TV’s original drama “Welcome to Wedding Hell” (also known as “Marriage White Paper”) is a relatable romance about a couple in their 30s preparing for marriage. While they were expecting a happy ending like something out of a fairy tale, the reality of their preparations proves to be somewhat different.
Lee Jin Wook will be starring as Seo Joon Hyung, the smitten groom-to-be who is happy to yield to his fiancée’s every command. Lee Yeon Hee will be taking on the role of the lovable bride-to-be Kim Na Eun who is affectionate and full of laughter but also sharp when working.
The latest preview shows a twist that is unlike the drama’s previous teasers. Although their wedding preparations seem to be a bit of a bumpy road, it seems obvious that the happy couple was easily able to settle on their decision to get married. The new teaser proves this to be completely wrong, as their first steps toward marriage seem to be taken at different paces.
The clip starts with Kim Na Eun sweetly watching over an older couple on a walk. She imagines a future like that with her boyfriend Seo Joon Hyung and asks herself, “What would it feel like to be married?”
When Kim Na Eun discusses the idea with her co-workers, her senior Choi Hee Sun (Hwang Seung Eon) tells her, “Don’t you dare bring up the discussion of marriage first!” However, even after dating for two years, Seo Joon Hyung doesn’t even show a hint of interest in marriage. Kim Na Eun even nudges him, “Marriages only proceed if the man is determined,” but he takes no action.
While already disappointed from Seo Joon Hyung’s lack of interest, Kim Na Eun is thrown an even bigger curveball when she accidentally mentions marriage over dinner – and Seo Joon Hyung is so thrown off that he chokes on his food.
Even more surprised than Seo Joon Hyung is Kim Na Eun, who cannot believe her long-term boyfriend cannot fathom their marriage. She thinks to herself, “Was he really avoiding discussing marriage?” Eventually, she asks Seo Joon Hyung, “If you say you have no plans of marriage, what’s next?”

The producers of “Welcome to Wedding Hell” shared, “Joon Hyung’s reaction was inevitably an unimaginable shock to Na Eun, who thinks marriage is so obvious [for their relationship]. Life is always a continuation of unpredictable situations. However, there is also an unpredictable twist hidden in Joon Hyung’s response.”
“Welcome to Wedding Hell” is a mid-form drama that will air a total of 12 30-minute episodes. Premiering on June 23, the drama will air on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. KST.
