Watch: LE SSERAFIM, ENHYPEN, And More Pick Important Idol Qualities In Teaser For HYBE’s Girl Group Survival Show “R U Next?”

HYBE’s upcoming girl group debut project “R U Next?” has dropped a second teaser!

“R U Next?” is a JTBC audition program in which contestants will compete for the chance to debut in a new girl group under BELIFT LAB, the agency that is currently home to ENHYPEN.

The latest teaser opens with HYBE’s chairman Bang Si Hyuk who states, “HYBE’s next girl group, who will follow up LE SSERAFIM and NewJeans, is set to be born.”

The program is hosted by Girls’ Generation‘s Sooyoung, who explains that the contestants will need to pass seven “gateways” that reflect the requirements needed to become an idol.

Some of these requirements are then broken down by current HYBE artists Zico, LE SSERAFIM, and ENHYPEN. They choose “expressiveness,” “charm,” “stage presence,” “communication with fans,” and “mentality” as skills especially needed by HYBE idols. Zico elaborates on the last point, “The determination to achieve one’s dream.”

Bang Si Hyuk adds, “I ask that you join us on the journey of creating this new girl group.”
