Watch: Kim Seon Ho Gleefully Chases After Kang Tae Joo In Eerie “The Childe” Teasers

Upcoming action film “The Childe” has dropped a new poster and main trailer!

Helmed by Park Hoon Jung of the “New World” and “The Witch” series, “The Childe” (originally titled “Sad Tropics”) follows the chaotic chase that ensues when the mysterious “Childe,” alongside several other forces, embark on separate missions that all aim to pursue Marco, a boxer who travels from one illegal arena to another in the Philippines.

The film’s new poster depicts Marco (Kang Tae Joo) as the target of an intense chase. Although there are three different people in search of him, they’re all entangled with Marco in a unique way. On the far left is Director Han (Kim Kang Woo), a second generation chaebol. Following is Childe (Kim Seon Ho), an unidentified attacker who causes chaos and damage in Marco’s life. Lastly, there’s Yoon Joo (Go Ara), a mysterious character who keeps coincidentally running into Marco.

On the poster it states, “One target, pursuit of madness.” With all three characters pouring so much into targeting Marco, what is the real reason they are all chasing after him?

Childe casually kicks off the film’s main trailer as he checks his hair while whistling. After silently watching over boxer Marco’s match in an illegal arena in the Phillippines, Childe keeps up with his every move until he boards a plane to Korea in order to make money for his mother’s surgery. When they lock eyes on the plane, Childe flashes an eerily big smile and Marco annoyedly asks, “Who the fuck are you?” Childe responds, “A friend.”

Once they get to Korea, Childe’s chase only intensifies as the screen reads, “Enemy or friend?” Childe later explains to Marco, “Did I tell you? I’ve never once missed a target. I’m a pro. An expert.”

Matters grow more serious when Director Han and Yoon Joo join the chase, inciting chaos in both Childe and Marco’s lives. The teaser concludes with Childe stating with a giggle, “It’s been a long time, friend. Didn’t I say we should meet again soon?”
