Watch: Jang Dong Yoon And Chu Young Woo Go From Childhood Friends To Rivals Over Seol In Ah In Teaser For Upcoming Drama

Jang Dong Yoon and Chu Young Woo will put up an intense fight in the face of love in their new drama!

KBS 2TV’s “Oasis” (literal title) is a drama about three youths who fight fiercely to protect their dreams and friendship as well as their one and only first love in the turbulent backdrop of South Korea from 1980 to 1990. Jang Dong Yoon stars as Lee Doo Hak, who has an intelligent mind and clear soul despite growing up in poverty. He harbors a pure love, falling in love at first sight after seeing Oh Jung Shin (Seol In Ah), a transfer student from Seoul. Chu Young Woo plays Lee Doo Hak’s childhood friend and fated rival Choi Chul Woong.

The drama’s second teaser previews the shift experienced by childhood friends Lee Doo Hak and Choi Chul Woong when they meet Oh Jung Shin. While fighting, Lee Doo Hak angrily asks “Do you have the life of a human while I have the life of a dog?! Pig?!” Later, Choi Chul Woong expresses his own anger to Lee Doo Hak, raising questions about how their close friendship has ended up like this.

Eventually, Lee Doo Hak comments while thinking of Oh Jung Shin, “If you just didn’t appear, Chul Woong and I would’ve never had to compete.”

After Oh Jung Shin’s friend gives her advice about the two guys, she draws the line with Choi Chul Woong as she states, “You cannot handle me.” Lee Doo Hak then aggressively shouts out, “Didn’t you say you’d take responsibility for my life? Didn’t you say you would succeed and pay me back, you bastard?!”

Despite the boundaries she set, Choi Chul Woong confesses his feelings and asks, “Can I date Jung Shin now?” However, the clip ends with an emotional kiss between Oh Jung Shin and Lee Doo Hak.
