Watch: Cha Sun Woo And Ha Seung Ri Dish On Their Chemistry And Characters In “The Villain Of Romance”

May 29, 2023

MBC’s “The Villain of Romance” has teased Cha Sun Woo and Ha Seung Ri’s cute chemistry in new behind-the-scenes clips!

“The Villain of Romance” is a coming-of-age story and realistic romance drama about young college “villains” who are still learning about love. B1A4’s Cha Sun Woo will star as Kang Hee Jae, who insists that he is a cool and understanding guy, but isn’t actually cool in the slightest when it comes to romance and his feelings.

Meanwhile, “All of Us Are Dead” star Ha Seung Ri will play Ban Yu Jin, a highly intelligent older student at Kang Hee Jae’s college. Because the frosty Yu Jin can never seem to keep a relationship going for longer than 100 days, she starts to worry that she’ll wind alone. So when younger guy Hee Jae boldly shoots his shot, she decides to put him through some intense “training” as they date.

The first making-of video shows clips of Cha Sun Woo’s chaotic role, followed by his personal description of the character. He shares, “Since Kang Hee Jae has never had a girlfriend before, he is random and lacking in some ways, but those aspects aren’t merely dislikable as he’s a cute and charming person.”

He continues, “It’s so fun to play the role of Hee Jae and I’m filming enjoyably.” Cha Sun Woo then adds that he is filming well alongside Ha Seung Ri while building their chemistry.

In Ha Seung Ri’s behind-the-scenes video, she explains of her character Ban Yu Jin, “She’s someone with a fiery personality who grew up with everything she needs in a well-off family while receiving lots of love. With her younger boyfriend Hee Jae, she’s a character who tries really hard in her own way to successfully date and love prettily for a long, long time.”

“The Villain of Romance” airs its first two episodes on June 5 at 11:30 p.m. KST and will be available on Dramacool.
