BTS’ Suga has dropped a new teaser for his upcoming solo documentary!
“SUGA: Road to D-DAY” will take on a road movie format and capture the producing process for Suga’s upcoming solo album “D-DAY” as he finds new stories through music while interacting with artists from various cities around the world.
The latest teaser previews the different journeys Suga embarks on in the different cities he visits. He begins by pondering how to tell the story that he wants to tell.
Suga’s trip to Las Vegas is labeled with the hashtag “Around 30” as he explains, “I’m 30. Things you can do when you’re 30…wouldn’t there be a lot?” As he works on his music, Suga comments, “I believe the producing of Suga should at least be to the point of ‘it’s pretty good.'”
After, he takes his first vacation in Malibu and exclaims, “I’ve just learned that vacations are this much fun. I’ll have to think about ways to live enjoyably.”
The city of Chungcheon is tagged “#wound” as Suga elaborates, “Wounds and scars are all made by oneself.” As he powers through a difficult producing session, Suga adds, “You need incredible tenacity to be able to let go.”
On the topic of liberation in Pyeongchang, Suga shares that “D-DAY” began from the idea of being liberated from negative thoughts. He explains, “I think about quitting music hundreds of times a day. But if we get together and do it, we can do it. [Since] Making music is this much fun.”
While in San Francisco, Suga meets up with global stars like Anderson .Paak, Steve Aoki, and Halsey. He talks about how meeting musicians is always enjoyable because they are all just people at the end of the day and explains how their hearts connect, even if they speak different languages.
In Tokyo, Suga looks back on his dreams and meets with Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, whose music has served as an inspiration to him. Suga shares that he wants to continue dreaming, but often wonders what kinds of dreams he’s supposed to have.
Finally, the trailer looks at Suga’s mindset of focusing on the present as he remarks, “We wonder about the uncertain future. And are afraid. We agonize a lot over the past that we cannot fix. But the present is something I can control. Stories that focus on the future. The past is just the past. The present is just the present. The future is just the future.”

On April 7, Suga will release “People Pt. 2” featuring IU as the pre-release track off his upcoming first official album “D-DAY.” The full album is due out on April 21 while Suga’s first solo tour as Agust D kicks off a few days later in the United States before continuing to Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Korea, and Japan.
