Watch: 2PM’s Taecyeon Nearly Loses His Job To Kim Hye Yoon In Fun Teaser For “Royal Secret Inspector Joy”

tvN has shared a new sneak peek of its upcoming drama “Royal Secret Inspector Joy”!

“Royal Secret Inspector Joy” is a new historical comedy drama starring 2PM’s Taecyeon as Ra Yi Eon, a young gourmand who is appointed a royal secret inspector (a government official who travels undercover to local provinces to inspect them and uncover corruption) against his will. Kim Hye Yoon will star as Kim Jo Yi, a divorced woman searching for happiness who winds up joining forces with him to investigate and battle corruption.

The newly released teaser begins with Ra Yi Eon coolly brandishing his royal secret inspector badge as he begins to declare, “Become my eyes and ears, and root out corrupt forces across the entire country!”

However, he is soon interrupted by someone bumping into him from behind, which causes him to break off mid-sentence as he trips and falls over. When his badge goes flying in the air, Kim Jo Yi nimbly catches it and presents it to the camera as if it were her own—and Ra Yi Eon’s faithful servants Yook Chil (played by Min Jin Woong) and Goo Pal (Park Gang Sub) join her from behind like loyal sidekicks.

As the caption teases a “crazy and chaotic investigation show,” the clip shows flashes of Ra Yi Eon and Kim Jo Yi’s journey as they team up to form an unlikely duo of sleuths. The teaser ends with a scandalized Ra Yi Eon scolding Kim Jo Yi, “You hit a royal secret inspector?!”

“Royal Secret Inspector Joy” premieres on November 8 at 10:30 p.m. KST and will be available with subtitles on Dramacool. In the meantime, check out the new teaser below!
