A new kind of mystery is coming to town!
Upcoming tvN series “Blind” (literal title) is a mystery thriller that depicts the story of people who have unfairly become victims because they are ordinary and perpetrators who have closed their eyes to the uncomfortable truths. The story centers around detectives, judges, law school students, and jurors.
2PM’s Taecyeon plays the role of Ryu Sung Joon, a violent crimes detective who is hell bent on catching criminals. He’s always willing to go undercover, and due to his determination, his arrest rate is among the top. Because of his excessive motivation, he’s sometimes mistaken as a thug. Taecyeon will show a high synchronization rate with Ryu Sung Joon, and he will display new charms that are different from his role as a villain in his previous work “Vincenzo.”
Ha Seok Jin takes on the role of Ryu Sung Joon’s older brother Ryu Sung Hoon. He’s also a genius who graduated at the top of his class and became a perfectionist judge. He’s a straightforward person who does his best to make a fair judgement. Previously, Ha Seok Jin played a jobless man in “A Deadbeat’s Meal,” but he will make a 180-degree transformation in this drama. Fans are eager to find out how he will portray a level-headed judge.
Jung Eun Ji, who impressed with her acting in “Work Later, Drink Now,” stars as the social worker Jo Eun Ki. After overcoming all sorts of hardships, Jo Eun Ki becomes a social worker to help at least one more child, and she is a generous and broad-minded person despite her young age.
The teaser begins Ryu Sung Joon looking suspiciously at something as he comments, “Something’s off… about the jurors.” He goes into full detective mode as he investigates a messy crime scene, and the sound of someone’s heavy breathing fills the air. Tension increases with the captions, “There’s a monster among the nine jurors!”
Ryu Sung Hoon firmly states, “I’ll take responsibility for the trial,” and he starts racking his brain for any clues about who the real criminal could be. Jo Eun Ki’s expression is filled with fear yet resilience as she gets involved in the case too. Ryu Sung Joon is fully certain as he claims, “The criminal is in there,” referring to the jury.
