Veteran Actor Namgoong Won Passes Away

Actor Namgoong Won has passed away at the age of 90.

On February 5, Namgoong Won passed away at a hospital in Seoul at around 4 p.m. KST.

His family revealed that he had been in poor health for several years, battling lung cancer.

Namgoong Won made his debut in the 1959 film “When the Night Comes Again.” He appeared in a total of 345 films including the 1959 film “Sister’s Garden,” the 1964 film “Red Scarf,” the 1968 film “Eunuch,” the 1975 film “I Love Mama,” the 1993 film “A Different Kind of Man,” and his final work “L’AMOUR.”
