It’s official—Uee will be starring as the lead of KBS2’s upcoming weekend drama “Hyo Shim’s Independent Life” (literal title).
“Hyo Shim’s Independent Life” tells the story of a warmhearted Lee Hyo Shim who finally decides to get away from her leech-like family and pursue her own happiness away from them.
On April 4, it was confirmed that Uee will be playing the titular role of Lee Hyo Shim, who took responsibility of the family after her father disappeared one day, leaving Lee Hyo Shim to take care of her mom, two older brothers, and her younger brother. She is a filial daughter who dedicates herself to her family, and because she is skilled in physical activities, she immediately snagged a job as a health trainer right after graduating high school. She currently works as a fitness center in the middle of Gangnam while supporting her family.
This will be Uee’s first new drama in over a year after “Ghost Doctor” and her return to weekend dramas after four years since the hit KBS2 weekend drama “My Only One.”
STARNEWS also reported on April 4 that Ha Jun will be playing the role of the male lead in “Hyo Shim’s Independent Life.” In response to the report, Ha Jun’s agency ACE FACTORY shared, “Ha Jun is positively reviewing the offer to star in ‘Hyo Shim’s Independent Life.'”
If Ha Jun accepts the offer, he will be playing the role of Kang Tae Ho, the director of the planning division of a conglomerate. Kang Tae Ho has both looks and skills, and he will become intertwined with Lee Hyo Shim after an unexpected incident.
KBS2’s new weekend drama “Hyo Shim’s Independent Life” is reported to premiere after the conclusion of “The Real Has Come!”
