As one popular drama comes to an end, another has joined the weekend ratings battle!
On November 12, SBS’s new drama “The First Responders” premiered at the top of its time slot. According to Nielsen Korea, the action thriller starring Kim Rae Won, Son Ho Jun, and Gong Seung Yeon scored an average nationwide rating of 7.6 percent for its first episode.
“The First Responders” was also the most-watched program to air on all of Saturday among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it earned an average rating of 4.2 percent.
Meanwhile, MBC’s “The Golden Spoon,” which airs in the same time slot as “The First Responders,” saw a rise in viewership for its series finale. According to Nielsen Korea, the final episode of the fantasy drama starring BTOB‘s Yook Sungjae scored an average nationwide rating of 6.0 percent.
tvN’s “The Queen’s Umbrella” successfully remained in the double digits as it kicked off the second half of its run, scoring an average nationwide rating of 10.0 percent and taking first place in its time slot across all channels.
KBS 2TV’s “Three Bold Siblings” continued its perfect streak as the most-watched program to air on any channel on Saturday, earning a nationwide average of 19.4 percent for its latest episode, while JTBC’s “The Empire” scored an average rating of 2.1 percent for the night.
